Proposal

Description + Identity:

Music industry business models are quickly abandoning traditional and archaic methods of sales, distribution, and marketing and adopting more progressive strategies and less formulaic practices. According to the Record Industry Association of America, CD sales have been on a steady decline for the past decade and dropped 24.7% from 2007-2008. Factors such as piracy, digital distribution innovations, social media, and overall modernization have revolutionized the music industry and only those who have considered and appropriated these changes stand a chance within the market. Major labels have suffered the most due to their resistance to the industry’s evolution and conversely, independent labels who have accommodated the impending transition are now flourishing.

Palmpalm Music, a full service publishing, marketing, distribution, event coordination and music branding company is designed to appeal to the needs of independent and upcoming artists, bands, and songwriters who would like to approach the industry from a more current and in tune perspective. Palmpalm Music,’s company image, brand name, and marketing methods will reflect the changing market by recognizing artists needs and providing hip, creative, and original solutions.
